Easter!

This year Easter was going to be kinda quite. Grandma and Grandpa had been down the weekend before. Michelle and Zach were going to stay home so Zach could work. Michelle had asked if we would come up. But that meant that we would have to leave Zack home alone. Cause he had to work Saturday till 8:30. We really didn't want to do that.

Then mom had this great idea in the middle of the night. Why don't we go up on Saturday after Zack gets off work! We all went back and forth about it. My mom had talked to my grandparents and said that we might come. Well grandpa being the patriarch that he is said that we needed to come. "Get up here." I think were his exact words.

Saturday we loaded in the car and were off at 9:00 pm. We didn't get there till 12:30 am.

We hadn't said anything to Michelle about coming up. She had been invited to come to Grandma and Grandpa's for Easter dinner. So we knew that she would come up after church. So we were all going to hide and have Grandma say that the Easter bunny had come here. But we didn't mom said we were thinking to much about it. Dinner was at 4:00 pm. We waited, Craig and Sharla came, we waited a little more. Finally we saw them pull in the drive way. So we all ran down stairs and sat on the couches. Waiting.............

They come in and the first thing Michelle says is "That is a lot of plates." Meanwhile Haylie is looking down the stairs and she said " There is people here." Then Riley sees who it is and says "That is uncle Zack." So they all ran down the stairs and gave us big hugs!

Ohhhhhhhh!!!!

We ate a great dinner. For those of you who don't know my Grandma is an amazing cook. Every time we go there Cheyo has a new favorite dish of hers. We ate ham, baked potatoes, orange jello, (It is not just regular jello. Secret family recipe.) rolls with strawberry jam, corn, and deviled eggs. Sooo tasty.

After dinner grandma gave Me, Cheyo, Michelle, & Zack the responsibility of hiding the eggs for the hunt. All the kids had to go downstairs. After we hid the eggs we came back in and started talking. We had teased that we were going to wait till the kids started asking us. We said they are fine. Then Grandma said "Well I am not fine." it was really funny. Each child got to find ten eggs. There is a golden eggs that has $5 bill in it. As well as a Gold colored egg. Only once has the Gold colored egg had the $5 bill in it. Riley got the $5 bill. But everyone else got $1 bill. As well as change. Almost every body's money equaled up to $10 and some change. Rileys was more.

After we hung out for a while I took the kids for a walk. We went down by the river. Then to The Horsey Park (Official Name). We played for a while.

When we got back it was time for Craig and Sharla to go home. Then we went to Zach's work and surprised him. We got to hang out with him for a few minutes. And we took him a plate of GREAT dinner. He was happy.

Then it was home to bed so we could get up early to get home. Zack had to work at 4:00 pm on Monday. We left Grandma and Grandpa's at about 9:00 am. We made a stop at Michelle and Zach's. Stayed till about 10:00 am and then we were on the road home.

I am very grateful that we got to go to Idaho. It was a very fun, short weekend.
Here are the Easter Egg Hunt Pictures.

Chelle is here for her monthly visit

Many of you know that Michelle and Zach come down from Idaho once a month so Shane can see the kids. We think of it as a great time to see Michelle. We look forward every month when they come. They trade off staying with us and with Ken and Stacey. I have to be a little selfish and say I do love it better when they stay with us. Someday I hope they will move back to Utah.

I am excited for the morning when I get to see the kids. Then I think we are going shopping. (always fun.) Who know what else we will do but I am sure it will be fun.
